Uxbridge Piano School – Terms and Conditions

While we love to keep lessons fun and inspiring at Uxbridge Piano School, we also want to make sure everything runs smoothly for our students, parents, and teachers. That’s why we ask all students (or parents/guardians if under 18) to read and agree to the following Terms and Conditions when enrolling:

Enrolment and Fees

When enrolling at Uxbridge Piano School, you are booking a weekly lesson time with a dedicated tutor.

Lesson fees are paid in advance for each half-term, covering all scheduled lessons within that period. An invoice will be issued prior to the start of each half-term, and full payment must be received before the first lesson takes place.

Late payments may incur a 5% late fee.

Absences

Because tutors reserve specific time slots for each student, we are unable to offer refunds or credits for missed lessons. However, if you notify us at leastone week in advance, we may be able to offer amake-up lesson, depending on tutor availability.

Make-up lessons must take place within thesame week of the missed lesson and cannot be carried forward or deducted from future invoices.

If your child is unwell or isolating (e.g., due to Covid), we can arrange anonline lesson during your regular slot, subject to availability.

Tutor Absences

If your usual tutor is unavailable, we will arrange a suitable cover teacher. If no cover is available, you will receive either a credit toward the next half-term or a refund for that lesson.

Leaving Notice Period

If you wish to stop lessons, we requireat least 4 weeks’ notice, givenin writing via email to info@uxbridgepianoschool.com.

Please note: notice cannot be given verbally to tutors.

We are unable to offer refunds for lessons missed if you decide to leave part-way through a paid half-term.

Registration Form

All students (or their parent/guardian if under 18) must complete and sign a registration form following the first lesson.

Child Safety and Collection

We care deeply about your child’s safety. However, our tutors are only responsible for studentsduring their lesson time. Please ensure prompt collection once the lesson ends.

Parents are welcome to wait in our reception area during the lesson.

Exams

To be entered into a music exam, payment of the exam fee must be madeat least two weeks before the official exam board deadline. We cannot guarantee entry for late payments.
